How Sweet it is NOT - a NuNaturals Review & GIVEAWAY!

Disclaimer: I was sent a variety of NuNaturals product samples to review, provide my honest opinion and giveaway. No other compensation was provided. This post does not contain any affiliate links.

UGH UGH!  I had multiple giveaways planned for you all but my computer has been down and wifi has been spotty.  So I took advantage of a window of opportunity and got this post up!

I was recently approached by NuNaturals to check out their line of products sweetened with Stevia.  They are all zero calories, less than 1 gram of cabs, zero sugar, gluten free, dairy free, GMO free and Vegan.  I was told 1/4 tsp is as sweet as 1 tsp of sugar and a 1/4 cup is as sweet as 1 cup of sugar.  With no calories!

A little bit about Stevia: Stevia is a sweetener and sugar substitute made from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana. Stevia's taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar, and some of its extracts may have a bitter or licorice-like aftertaste at high concentrations.  I do not claim to be a nutritionist (I leave that to my sister) or a medical expert.  I don't know how good or bad Stevia is for you.  All I know is that I, like too many other Americans, have too much sugar in their diet and I would like to reduce it if I can.

Here is what I received:

I have had some fun playing around with these products.  I add the cocoa syrup to my coffee every morning and it feels like a treat.  Like a mocha from your Keurig.  Ha ha!

And it has been so hot lately, I have been making iced mochas.  Just some cold coffee, ice cubes and chocolate syrup and whatever type of milk you have around.  (I LOVE unsweetened vanilla almond milk)

At first, I could taste the slight bitter aftertaste but then you realize the overall flavor is pretty tasty.   I've played around with the simple syrup too.  I used it to make my favorite Ginger Beergaritas the other day.  Perfect!

Remember, the original recipe is from the Minimalist Baker.

1.5 ounces (3 Tablespoons) 100% agave tequila (such as Altos)
1 ounce (2 Tbsp) fresh lime juice
3 ounces (6 Tbsp) ginger beer
.25 ounce (1/2 Tbsp) NuNaturals simple syrup
Coarse salt for lining rim

Line a small serving glass with fresh lime juice and dip in coarse salt (optional).

Add tequila, simple syrup, ginger beer and lime juice to a large glass or cocktail shaker with 1/2 cup ice and stir vigorously. Don't shake with a lid on or it will erupt from the ginger beer carbonation.
Pour liquid (reserving ice) into serving glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately. Repeat for more drinks, or double/triple the amounts for more people.

Okay, now for the part you are all waiting for...the GIVEAWAY.  NuNaturals has offered to give 4 lucky winners the same package I received.  Each of the 4 winners will receive ( 1 ) one bottle of the  Cherry Vanilla  Stevia Liquid,  a 50 pkt box of NuStevia White Stevia Powder packets,  PLUS a bottle of NEW COCOA SYRUP & a bottle of NEW SIMPLE SYRUP.  Ready to win?  Enter on Rafflecopter!
