Wednesday #GIVEAWAY Roundup - #WinAllThePrizes

WOW!  What a crazy week already and it is only Wednesday!  I did the Carlsbad 5000 All Day 20K on Sunday with Jamye.  Interesting and unique experience.  Recap coming soon but we totally rocked the #TwoPairDontCare and the "Lego" skirts from Spandits.  (you can use the one time code SPANDITSLOVE for 10% off)

I have two giveaways going on right now.  One is for your choice of CEP OR 2XU socks from Bright Life Go.  You can enter that one here.

I am also giving away a race hat from Headsweats on Instagram.  Enter that one here.  Even if you don't win, you can use code SDMOM25 for 25% off over at Headsweats!

And can I just tell you how much fun I have been having with Erica as my co-host for these Roundups?  We have almost 40-50 entries every week which means LOTS of opportunities to win prizes and LOTS of new people to meet!

So do you want to link up?  You can read the rules here.  But most important, link back to your hosts, SD Mom and Erica Finds and state your end date in the link up!  So excited to see what you all link up this week!

Good Luck and as always, I wish you Happy Feet,

Friday Fascinations: @SkratchLabs Cookies #CookiesFromSkratch

Hi Everyone!  Today I am linking up with Mar, Courtney and Cynthia for the Friday 5 Link Up!

Their theme for today is Favorite Spring Foods and what better food is there than Skratch cookies??  At $8.50 a box, you are getting a great deal.  If you consider you spend about $2-$3 on a protein or energy bar, the cookie mix is a great deal.  I made 1/2 the dough and made 12 cookies.  Let me back up.  As a Skratch Taste Agent, they sent me a giant box of goodies to use for training.  I love me some Skratch exercise hydration mix!  Never leave home for a long run without it!

BUT front and center, COOKIE MIX!  I had to make those right away.  I gathered the ingredients.

Mixed them up

Until it looked like this...

See those oat pieces?  Added in the mix in's and scooped them on to a cookie sheet lined with a silicon baking mat.

I made 12 cookies and wrapped and froze the rest in a log.  Then, later on, when I need just 1 or 2, I can slice them off and bake.

Baked for 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven and they came out perfect!  Chewy but not crispy or doughy.  Super salty though.  These are definitely a little saltier than your run of the mill cookies.  But that is what every runner needs right?

I don't want to brag but the coconut, chocolate chips and pecan combo was the bomb!  Have you tried Skratch cookies yet?  What are you waiting for?

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

@BrightLifeGo Review and @2XU_USA or @CEPsocks #GIVEAWAY!

Disclaimer: I received a pair of CEP and a pair of 2XU socks from Bright Life Go for review & Giveaway purposes.  I was not requested to write a positive review.  All opinions are my own and I have received no monetary compensation for this post.

When I first heard about Bright Life Go, I was a little taken aback.  An online store that sells nothing but compression socks?  Kind of a Toys R Us for a sock addict like me?  Remember this?!

They sell nothing but compression socks.  All kinds of compression socks.  All kinds of brands.  And not just for running.  Cute ones to wear to work.  Comfy ones to sleep in.

How could I pick?  But my heart is with the running compression of course!  But even that was hard to narrow down.  I couldn't narrow it down past 2 choices so I got both!  Let's start with the 2XU socks.

From the Bright Life Go website: The 2XU Women's Performance Run Sock is designed to increase athletic performance and decrease muscle recovery time. This incredibly popular sport sock features zoned breathability panels for maximum airflow and seamless, gradient compression for increased blood and oxygen flow. Ideal for: running, endurance activities, workout sessions, competitions and racing, and general sporting activities.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
  • Lightweight
  • 18-32 mmHg graduated compression
  • Muscle containment for reduced vibrations & oscillation, less muscle fatigue & damage
  • Antibacterial & SPF 50 sun protection
  • Minimize and prevent shin splints
Now the CEP Women's Progressive+ Night Run socks.  In orange because every girl needs a pair of orange tall socks in her life.  Trust!

From the Bright Life Go website: The perfect compression sock for anyone who trains, works out, or runs at night. Not only will you have increased energy, greater endurance and enhanced performance, but you'll be more visible in the dark with built in reflectors. With 20-30 mmHg of graduated compression, these athletic socks activate the flow of blood in the muscles, giving your legs renewed life. The compression and design of the sock also stabilizes muscles and joints to reduce risk of injury and improve coordination.

Features:
  • Filament fiber for extreme durability
  • Wide top band for a perfect fit
  • Extra-flat toe seam prevents pressure points
  • Reflectors for increased visibility
  • Metatarsus compression zone for arch stabilization
  • Openpore mesh structure in the calf
  • Optimized Achilles tendon protector
  • Hydrophile finish effectively wicks moisture away from the skin for perfect heat and moisture management
  • Air channels for ventilation in the foot region
  • Made with: 85% polyamide, 15% spandex
The best feature of these socks is the reflective panel you can see in this closeup picture.

High visibility!

So which ones do I like better?  How in the world am I supposed to pick?  Can I say both?  I like the safety features of the CEP but I LOVE the compression of the 2XU.  FUN FACT: My very first pair of compression socks were black 2XU.  So maybe just maybe I have a soft spot for them?

So here is the fun part!  You get to pick which ones you want to try.  One lucky winner gets to pick a pair of the 2XU or the Night Run CEP.  (they have men's too in both!)  Thank you Bright Life Go.  And while you are at it, go check out all the other cute socks on their site.   I am thinking these next for me?!

Or how about these?

Sigh!  I LOVE socks!  Especially tall socks with compression...all of which you can find on Bright Life GO!

Jeans or Yoga Pants? - a prAna Jada Pant Review!

Disclaimer: I received a pair of prAna jeans for review purposes.  I was not requested to write a positive review.  All opinions are my own and I have received no monetary compensation for this post.

Remember a couple weeks ago when sweet London invited me to a prAna event at CorePower Yoga in Encinitas?

Well, I couldn't really do the hot yoga slated for that morning because I had just run 10 miles and I was already a hot mess!  Literally!

We brought our yoga mats though with the best of intentions!  But we couldn't.  So instead, I met more awesome ladies including Jasmine.

Turns out Jasmine works at prAna and we got to talking about yoga and OF COURSE, Yoga CLOTHES!

And guess what?? prAna makes jeans.  Say what?!  I knew I had to try them out and the lovely Jasmine sent me a pair!

As soon as I opened them up, I knew.  They felt soft and stretchy.  I didn't know what size to get but turns out my regular size 10 is too big.  I should have sized down 1-2 sizes.  A 6 would have been perfect!  They retail for $89 by the way which is WAY cheaper than some of the brands featured in Nordys!

I wore them to work the very next casual Friday.  But first I had to take a selfie for you in S's bedroom!

And here is another picture from this last weekend!  I love these jeans because they have a slight flare at the bottom without being a true bootcut.

Works with flats, with flip flops and even date night!

Look how comfortable I look in the picture.  Haha!  I was there checking out the San Diego Rep Theater's production of Oedipus El Rey.  And wearing the jeans thru a 2 hour show!

I LOVE these jeans!  It used to be that my standard weekend uniform was yoga pants and a t-shirt. Now, it is these jeans and a t-shirt.  I wish I could do better yoga I wasn't embarrassed about being photographed doing because they are so bendy.  If I could stretch, they would stretch with me.  Now I need another pair or 4 in a smaller size.

If yoga pants and jeans had a baby, these pants would be it!

Have you ever tried any prAna clothes?  How about their jeans?  If not, you need to!

I am linking up with the lovely Nicole at FitFulFocus this week for her Fit & Fashionable Friday LinkUp!  Go check out other posts in the Link Up!

@FitSok #GIVEAWAY - Blog Hop!

Happy Monday friends!  I am here to report that I ran 6 miles on Saturday with minimal foot pain so maybe, just maybe, I am BACK?!

I am excited to participating in Kristy from Runaway Bridal Planner's Giveaway Blog Hop.  Co-Hosting with her is Amanda at a Mom Who Tris.  Love them both!  This is great for you guys because you get a chance to win some sweet prizes and get to know some awesome blogs!

So what am I giving away?  Well, you already know I have a minor major sock addiction.  I love compression socks and wear all the socks all the time.

But there are those occasions when I don't really feel like wearing tall socks.  At those times, I wear low socks and the only low socks I like are FitSoks.  You can read my past reviews here and here.

You also know I like all the colors.  So when FitSok came out with new spring colors, I knew I had to get you guys a chance to win a pack!  FitSoks are right left specific socks and they protect in all the right spots.  Look how cute?!

Okay, so who wants to win a pack?!  Enter on the Rafflecopter widget!
