Friday Fascinations: 5 Races for 2015!

Hi Everyone!  It has been a while since I have linked up with the fabulous Mar, Cynthia and Courtney.

Today's theme is 5 Races for 2015!  What better way to tell you 5 Races to do in 2015 than tell you 5 races I am DOING in 2015?

1.  PHOENIX Marathon!  Duh!  This is my FULL!  THIS is the race I have been working towards for the last 19 1/2 weeks (but who is counting!!).  I am doing this one with my girls and over the last 19 weeks, they have become like family to me.  Training for a Marathon can do that to you!

I promise we are wearing matching tanks.  I am not revealing yet but we got them from here.  You can use code PHOENIX15 for 15% off any tank in her store!  I promise you will LOVE!

2.  Carlsbad 5000!  This race is celebrating it's 30th anniversary on March 29.  It is awesome.  There are 4 5Ks you can do or you can do the All Day 20K option.  Which is what I am doing!  If you don't want to do it for the Bling...

Do it for the Finisher Band!  Because the '80's never go out of style!!!

3.  Sharon's Ride Run / Walk Epilepsy 5K!  This one is special.  This one takes up my whole heart and all my time from January thru April 26th, the day of the race.  It is a race to raise funds and awareness for the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County.  I have a very special connection to Epilepsy and we would LOVE for you to donate to or join Team Serena's Crusaders.  Our goal is BIG this year - $10K!

Won't you join us?

4.  San Diego Rock n Roll 5K and Half / Full Marathon!  New for 2015?  The Remix challenge!  This means you run the 5K on Saturday May 30 and then the Full or the Half (I am doing the Half) the next day.

But wait, I have a coupon code for you!

By the way, this code is good for any Half or Full Rock n Roll race except for Vegas and Mexico.  SDMOM gets you $15 off!  I am also doing Rock n Roll LA which will be a new one for me but it will be my first time in costume!  And you can use the SDMOM code to join me there too!

5.  Revel Canyon City!  I have already told you how much I love this race here.  Go read my recap.  This year, it will be awesome than ever.  They got their first year out of the way and all the kinks worked out.  But the best part?  The course hasn't changed at all which means you will still be surrounded by the beautiful mountains and streams in this FAST downhill course!

This year it is on November 7!  Will I see you there?

What races do you have on your calendar this year?  Will I see you at any of the above races?  Go check out the other posts in the Friday Five Link Up!

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  2. I can't wait for Phoenix. Unfortunately my training hasn't gone as planned so I probably won't PR like i hoped but it should be a really run race regardless!

  4. Cool list. The Carlsbad sounds pretty fun. Can't go wrong with some 80s fashion, haha. The San Diego RnR looks great too. Eventually want to run in San Diego, mostly because I just want to visit San Diego, haha

  5. I keep seeing Rock n Roll races making everyone's list...maybe it's a sign I need to do one?! And if I were to do a marathon, I'd want it to be a scenic and awesome course. Maybe a Rock n Roll. I was also considering Big Sur. Either way I hope you do awesome on your marathon! I know you'll rock it :-)

  11. I did REVEL in Colorado. Out of the 17 halves I did last year, it was my absolute favorite! I hope to do the full this year. I loved, loved, loved the downhill course.

  13. Have you ran the Carlsbad Half Marathon before? It is one of my favorite races since it is just beach views for the majority of the race. I am also running the Rock n Roll SD race. So nice to find a fellow SD blogger. I am moving there next month! I am super excited to meet other bloggers from my hometown :)

  14. Carlsbad looks awesome! I don't know if I will ever be able to get out west, but darn, it's tempting.

I'll be most local, but branching out to the RNR Virginia Beach Half and Space Coast Half, again. The rest we shall see as time goes on.

  15. Those sound like some fun races you have planned! Good luck on your marathon. I'm still trying to figure out my race calendar, the only think I have schedule is TriRock Philadelphia in June. I'm trying to figure out some life plans first before I commit to any more races :)

  16. Ohh so jealous of your race schedule! I am dying to run a race in Carlsbad and that Revel Canyon race looks BEAUTIFUL!!

  17. OK, first of all - have a great race in Phoenix next weekend! I'm running a race here in Vancouver - but just a 10k! Second, that Carlsbad one sounds AMAZING! I would love to do more US runs, but the Canadian dollar is so weak right now...

I blogged about my race calendar for the year - but I like your layout better. :-)

  20. I would love to do Carlsbad at some point! I would also like to spectate the elite race - it sounds pretty spectacular with all the big names in attendance.

On my calendar this year are Chicago Rock n Roll Half Marathon and the San Antonio Rock n Roll 10k and 5k. Can't wait to collect all the bling :)
