#SoleSister7 Virtual Race Recap!

Disclaimer: I was sent a free entry to the Sole Sister 7 miler in exchange for my honest opinion and review!  I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions are my own.

Remember when I told you all about this fun race?  Well, on Saturday, the time finally came to run the Sole Sister 7 Miler with my Sole Sisters from Moms Run this Town San Diego!  I set out my awesome swag and race number.

My specially made Spandits skirt in Fern, ProCompression socks and Headsweats visor.  Turns out, I decided on a different visor the morning of the event.  My plan was to do this race as part of my 20 miler and so I was meeting up with some awesome women at 5:00 a.m.

Insanity!  But I did hear this song to pump me up on the way there!

And we gathered and headed out!

The 7 miler is a super fun distance and was a PR for all of us because it was all our first time at this distance in a race setting.

We were stoked to be done because the sun was out in full effect by 7:30 a.m.  Sheesh!

The medals were super cute and I LOVE the color combos.

A couple of us are training for Canyon City Full Marathon in November and had 20 miles on tap for the day!  Tara and I did 20.  Vanessa did 14 and Jackie did 8.

But running long had its rewards because I ran into the sweet Ellie the Pug!

Please Ellie's owner...please let me keep her!

I had a blast doing this Virtual!  Love gathering my girls and spending all morning together.  I could have done without the heat and humidity though.  I can't wait for the next one.  I see they have a beer race coming up...then a Halloween one.

Have you ever done a Virtual race?  Did you do this one?  Does Pump up the Jam pump YOU up too?  What time do you start your long runs to beat the heat?

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  1. I love that you did this with a group! And how fun that you coordinated your outfit with the shirt!

Are you doing the Beer run?

  2. How cool is this? I hadn't heard of virtual races before (so I checked out your other post too). Love the color combo you have going for this one; and that skirt makes me want to take up running!

  3. That sounds like so much fun! Running is so much easier with a group.
