Weekend Update: #FasterthanBOO10K recap and Last Long Run!

Disclaimer: As part of my ongoing partnership with Gone for a Run, I received the opportunity to run the Faster than Boo 10K.  I was not compensated in anyway and all opinions are my own!

Happy Monday Friends!  Well, this was a fantastic weekend.  Hard to believe that by the time you read this, I will be just 5 days away from running my second ever Marathon at Revel Canyon City!  So excited!  And a little nervous.  I have a time goal for myself and that is always daunting!

But more about that soon.  For now, this was my last long run for the Marathon and also a chance to run the Gone for a Run Faster Than BOO 10K!  You have seen my reviews before but this one was my hands down favorite so far!  I did it ON Halloween which made it even more fun!

The medals are the absolute best!  Great quality and the ghost spins and glows in the dark!  So cool!  I decided to make my last long run a trail run and invite all my Moms Run This Town pals!

Check out my skulls Spandits skirt and my Happy Halloween Crazy Compression socks!

My sweet Jamye was there.

And some more awesome San Diego MRTT mamas: Jenn, Cristina, Jen, Jamye, Vanessa, Sara and me!

Jenn, Vanessa and I are roomies next weekend at Canyon City! (I know i have mentioned it a million times but Jenn is my coach and is awesome.  She can even coach you virtually!  You can reach her here!)

And of course we had snacks!  Oranges, Honey Stinger waffles, Quest bars...someone forgot the Bloody Marys!

I did 8 miles...a little over the 10K for the race but it was fun to earn a medal after the last long run of the training cycle.  It was like a medal for my 12 weeks of hard work!

I tied my shoes a little too tight and I needed D's small fingers to work the knot loose.  Haha

And we enjoyed a FANTASTIC Halloween night as a family!

How was your weekend?  Your Halloween?  Have you ever done a virtual race?

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  2. Awesome work! I really wanted to do this virtual 5k because I thought the shirt and medal were awesome! Unfortunately I waited too long and it sold out! I'm doing my first virtual 5k in December for the Will Run for Cupcakes one. I've never done a trail run but I've seen a handful of bloggers mention them. Best wishes on your marathon!
