Remember when I first told you about Puritan's Pride and I created that banana Split
smoothie for you all? Well, I am back at it with a new recipe and a new GIVEAWAY!

The Holidays are almost here. You know, the REAL holidays. Halloween is just a warm up for Thanksgiving and Hannukah / Christmas. But just because there are platters of cookies and brownies and indulgent foods around, doesn't mean you shouldn't start your day with a smoothie filled with good for you ingredients.

Here is what I was sent from Puritan's Pride.

I received the Soy Protein Isolate Powder in Natural, Emergen-C Immune + in Blueberry Acai flavor, Raw Kale Powder and Psyllium Husk Seed.

Eclectic Institute Raw Kale Powder (056836): Kale is one of the most nutritious of all vegetables. This powder is made from fresh, whole, raw Kale and custom freeze-dried. Freeze-drying is the best method for preserving the complex chemistry, active enzymes and entire matrix of a plant in its fresh form.*
Alacer Emergen C Immune + With Vitamin D Blueberry-Acai (073348): Supplement provides key nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and a proprietary immune complex with beta glucans.*
Puritan’s Pride Psyllium Husk Seed 100% Natural: Psyllium Husk (010992): is rich in soluble fiber, to keep your digestive tract moving smoothly.* Fiber naturally slows down digestion, making it possible for your body to absorb more nutrients. Plus, the fiber in Psyllium Husk Seed Powder helps your body eliminate what it doesn’t use, making for a cleaner colon.*

So my recipe for this month was a no brainer. It is my absolute favorite smoothie recipe and I drink it almost everyday!

Berry Green Smoothie
1 cup Hemp or Almond milk (vanilla flavored and unsweetened)
3 ice cubes
1 banana
1 cup Trader Joe's Power Greens blend
1 scoop Soy Protein Isolate Powder (natural or Vanilla)
1 packet Emergen-C (any berry flavor)

1.  Drop 3 ice cubes into a blender or Magic Bullet cup.

2.  Add in 3/4 cup of the almond milk

3.  Add in a packet of Emergen-C.

4. Add in a medium banana.

5. Add in a scoop of the protein powder.

6. Add in a handful (1 cup) of the Greens.

7. Now it should look like this.

8. Blend & Enjoy!

You could always throw in a scoop of the freeze dried kale if you don't have any fresh and add in a scoop of the psyllium husk for a fiber boost!

And now, it is time for a GIVEAWAY! You can win everything seen here and make your own #SeasonalSmoothie!
