Week 4 Marathon Training Recap

The theme of this week was runs together are better than runs alone. 


My friend Cristina shared this with me and it couldn't be truer. I ran 3 of my 4 runs this week with girlfriends and that alone made this an easier week. 

Week 4 Day 1 


This was a solo 6 miles but I was feeling good so I got em done!

Week 4 Day 2


I found an elliptical plan on Pinterest and I tweaked it a bit to make cross training a little more interesting. 

Week 4 Day 3


This time, I did 6 miles with my dear R at work. She is so good to me and so encouraging. Did I tell you she was the one that got me to a PR earlier this year at the Women's Half?!

Week 4 Day 4


This was another awesome one. Ran the 5 with 3 other amazing women. At 5:30 am. There is something about a run done by 6:30 that just makes the rest of the day so much better!

Week 4 Day 5


Best run of the week except I had a spill and bit it on the sidewalk and may have made a tiny hole in my Spandits!  Ugh!  But seriously, love my Moms Run this Town sole sisters. They make every run fun and inspirational. 

So, for the week I had 27 miles. My most so far!  So I put on my new Spandits dress and celebrated.

  1. Smitha, all your pictures are so pretty! Taco Man! We've had them here for parties....delicious and FUN! Yes to the elliptical cross training, less pounding and great for glutes! Never tried Spandits will check out their site, thx! Happy Training!!

  2. I don't function well at 5:30 a.m. unless I stayed up that late from the night before. D: Props to you for running 5 miles that early! o_o
