Yoga Six 4S Ranch #strengthenyourself & my favorite Yoga bra @swoobfit

Disclaimer: I was given a 6 visit pass for me and a friend.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All poses, outfits and effort are my own.  But yes, I was also sent a Swoob bra for review.  I was not required to write a positive review but to tell it like it is.

What is the one thing that all runners should do but never seem to do enough?  No, not that.  Yes, stretching!

I am that person.  I NEVER stretch.  As soon as a run is done, I am rushing off to the next stop.  So, when I was offered a 6 visit pass to Yoga Six, I jumped at the chance to indulge in their deep stretch classes.

I invited my friend Beth to go with me.  She is super good at yoga and is so consistent that I knew she would show up every time for me!

They sell super cute gear.

And have a whole cooler full of Kombucha and similar beverages.

Fancy restrooms / locker rooms.  I can't show you pictures but suffice it to say, this isn't your typical gym locker room.  They have nice showers, towels and toiletries.

They offer a variety of classes including my beloved Deep Stretch, Flow, Power Yoga, Hot Yoga and Boot Camp.

My favorite teacher so far is Nate.  He teaches Deep Stretch as well as Hot Yoga.  Yes, his beard is ON POINT!

But my favorite thing about Yoga at Yoga Six has been how incredible I feel after.  It is like an active massage if that makes sense.  Deep Stretch is just what the (running) doctor ordered!  And I am loving all the time I am spending with my friend Beth!

She wears super cute outfits too!  Speaking of outfits, let's talk yoga bras.  Yoga bras are different than sports bras you wear for running.

Yoga bras need to be soft, non-irritant and bendy.  But still hold you in place for those inverted downward dogs and such.  I LOVE the Swoob bra.  It maintains a nice shape yet gives you the support you need for yoga.  I probably wouldn't wear it for running.  But for yoga?  Perfect!

Sorry for the several pictures of me in my bra.  But hey, inquiring minds want to know!  Now I just need these bras in colors.  You know I love me some colors!  I think this one may be next or this one! Did I mention that all Swoob bras have hidden pockets to stash your car key, gels or money or whatever else?  Brilliant right!  Hands free!

I am linking up with Jill for Fitness Friday!

And also with Nicole for the Fit & Fashionable Friday.

So tell me, do you properly stretch like a good runner?  Do you switch out your sports bra between running and non running activities?

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  1. I'm much like you - I need to be moe diligent about my stretching!

  2. I apparently own a couple yoga bras and I didn't even realize it. I call them my dog walking bras - supportive enough to throw on first thing in the morning before I leave the house, but not supportive enough for high impact activities.

  3. I stretch after long runs, but I'm not as good about stretching after shorter runs.
As for the bras - I definitely have running sports bras and non-running, lower-impact bras. I've heard some good things about Swoob, and that one you have is super cute! Thanks for joining the link up!

  4. I honestly think adding yoga into a running routine is one of the best things you can do. I go to hot yoga 3 times a week and it dramatically helps my running recovery time.

  6. Love all things yoga! And I really like that I can wear cute fancy bras without worrying about needing so much support like with running bras. Supportive running bras are rarely cute or fancy. Ha!

Thanks for sharing with friends at Living a Life of Fitness Health and Happiness!

  7. I love the dog pic :) I have been trying to incorporate yoga into my marathon training. I tried CorePower Yoga but mostly I do yoga DVDs at home. I only have two sports bras and I got them at Target years ago and they are still going strong! I wear them for all exercise and I probably should get more.

  8. I really need to get more consistent with stretching! When we lived in New York and I could just go out my door and run 10-11-12-13 miles I was so much better about it. Now that I have to drive to running locations in my town, I do a quick 5-minute stretch before I get in the car and promise myself to do yoga cool downs when I get home, which I only do about 10% of the time! We don't have ANY yoga classes within 30 minutes of my house here, so Leslie Fightmaster on YouTube has been a lifesaver!
