#WeekendUpdate - @RunningSkirts, #SD100, @FitAthletic_SD

Happy Monday everyone!  What a FREAKING amazing weekend!  Exhausting but awesome!  Started out with Friday being National Donut Day and celebrating at Dunkin Donuts with some of the awesome mommas from Moms Run This Town!

You know you have good running friends when they will go running with you on National Running Day and eat donuts with you on National Donut Day!

On Saturday, I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer for Team Running Skirts at the #SD100.  Yes folks!  These crazies run 100 miles.  All day.  We got to see them at the first aid station only 7 miles in but they were already uber inspiring!

As part of the volunteer opportunity, we got the brand newest Running Skirts print to wear - Kona!  It is beautiful and will match anything!

This is Cindy, one of the Founders of Running Skirts!

I also finally got to meet Josh, the founder of Orange Mud!  The pack I wear?  He made it!

After the volunteer shift, Jamye and I hit the trails for a few miles to test out my awesome new Hoka One One Challengers.

You can see my shoes and my hydration pack!

Can you believe these are the same shoes?  The ones on my right are a fellow volunteer after a few trail runs and mine are BRAND NEW!

Finished the weekend off with a quick read of Women's Running Magazine at Fit Athletic San Diego watching these three swim!

I am linking up with Tara from Running n Reading for Weekend Update!

How was your weekend?  Ever done an Ultra?

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  3. Love, love, love that skirt, Smitha; that print is amazing! I'm so glad you had a great time out there!! I've never done an ultra; the only trail race I've ever done is a 25K, but it was a blast. Thanks so much for linking up with the blog today; hope your Monday is going well!

    1. I think I will have to start with a 25K. My coach always says that running on hilly trails makes you STRONG!

  4. They really shouldn't make trail shoes in bright colors. It makes me not want to get them dirty, which of course is besides the point. Love those Kona skirts! Pretty good swag for volunteering :-)
