Shopping Sundays at Trader Joe's - Weekend Recap

Started my weekend with a fantastic 6 miler with my BRF!  Everything was perfect.  My hip, the weather and the company.  Don't you love runs like that?

Last night SD Dad and I went to a Foundation Fundraiser Fiesta for my son's school.

So much fun!

We clean up nice!

Margaritas were delicious and plentiful.

And tons of HIGH Carb HIGH Fat foods.  So delicious!

So the food and drinks were fantastic but the company was even better.  I met new friend Danielle who ran her first Half at the Safari Park Half Marathon today.  She rocked it!  Go Danielle!

So we got home at 10 but then our good friends were celebrating their anniversary in SD and we were "forced" to stay up with them chatting until 1:30 a.m.  ACK!  But again, so MUCH fun!  It was a beautiful SD night!

So needless to say, I was exhausted and a little crabby today.  But I wouldn't let that stop me from heading to my favorite store - Trader Joe's for my weekly shopping.

The demo today was sirloin in chimichurri sauce and strawberry lemonade.  5 stars for the lemonade and 2 for the meat.  It had a weird aftertaste.

So for my top three picks today:

1.  Sun screen lotion & spray: Love this stuff!  We should buy it in bulk all summer!

2.  Chicken Andouille Sausage: A healthy no preservative version of the cajun favorite.  A little bit spicy and tastes great in all sorts of dishes.

3.  The Best popcorn in a Bag: Highly addictive.  Don't say I didn't warn you!

Now for my weekly SHOULD I TRY item:

I love Trader Joes, I love cashews and I love coconut.  So what do you think?  Have any of you tried these?  Let me know so I can fall in love with yet another TJ product!

Did you have a fab run this weekend?  Share!  Brag!

And don't forget.  Tomorrow is your last day to enter to win Crazy Compression socks.  Enter here.

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  1. I've tried the coconut cashews. They are very sweet, more of a dessert item! But fun!
