Shoes, Shakeout, Hula Recap, Flip Belt Review and Discount Code

Disclaimer: As part of my Ambassadorship with SweatPink, I was provided with a FlipBelt to review.  I was not compensated in any other way for this post and all opinions are my own.

This last weekend, I ran AFC Half on my way to the Triple Crown.  But before the AFC and after the expo on Friday, I had a VERY busy Saturday morning.  SD Dad went on a 52 mile bike ride in the morning so I had to do all of my events with the SD Kidz.

Before I even set foot outside the door though, I knew I couldn't carry a purse.  We had three different events to get to by 1:30 p.m. and no thank you!  So enter the FlipBelt!  Here is the one I have:

And here is how you can store EVERYTHING in it:

We first headed to Road Runner Sports for the Hoka One One Clifton launch party.  Really cool event where you could try on the shoes, earn a free breakfast burrito (only in SD), run a 3 mile loop and get a free t-shirt with purchase.  So duh, I had to go and I dragged the SD Kidz with me.  Luckily, we were early and were able to try on the shoes, buy the shoes (review coming - give me 50 miles) and skip the run.

Yes, S is wearing a cape.  It makes her fast!

Next, we headed over to the Pro Compression Shakeout run hosted by Stuft Mama Kristin and SkinnyRunner Sarah along with Ambassadors DaSilentAssassin and Carlee MCDot (all who have become some of my best Blends!).  As luck would have it, there were several of my MRTT friends there as well and they even won prizes!

The Cast of Characters!

Me with Blogger Royalty!

Julie and Kate both won cool ProCo prizes!

Shooting the Shaka!

 Sporting the FlipBelt!

And finally, our last stop was the Luau put on by the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego, an organization near and dear to our hearts.  We like to support the Foundation and the wonderful people who work there as best we can.  It was a wonderful event and included steel drums, hula dancers, face paint (S LOVES face paint), crafts and FOOD!  We were so busy there we only took one picture!

I had the best morning with the SD Kidz!  They were so good and not one fit about how bored or hot they were.  It helped that I had my hands free and didn't have to worry about where to put my purse while I chased after them!  The things I stored in my FlipBelt:
-  Keys
-  iPhone
-  ID
-  Credit card
-  Road Runner gift card

Not too bad right?  FlipBelt is allowing me to share a coupon code with all my friends for 10% off any order on the site!  You can use code "SWEAT33" for 10% OFF any purchase on the site (code ends 9/7).  If you have been on the fence about going hands free while running or parenting, here is your chance for a great deal!

You can even share the code with all YOUR friends by "Clicking to Tweet" below!

Tweet: Run, play, explore with #FlipBelt! Use the code sweat33 for 10% OFF your entire purchase! http://ctt.ec/fW6Kc+ @flipbelt @fitapproach

It never chafed because it is made out of a super wicking material and comes in many fun colors. I chose Carbon but now I'm thinking I might want line green or yellow too!

Do you have a running band to store your keys etc?  Have you tried Hokas?  Have you ever been to a shoe launch party?  Do you wear compression socks?  Are you a huge part of any charitable foundations in your community?  Do you like to stand on your head?  Ha ha

As always, I wish you Happy Feet,
SD Mom

  1. Sounds like you were wicked busy this weekend! And the FlipBelt? I got a pink one to try out and I looooove it! Going to be sharing my review in the coming weeks. I have a different fuel belt I used for my marathon, and usually use my SpiBelt for everyday running and half marathons/shorter races, but I actually like the FlipBelt better and I've been using it on my runs instead now.
